Job summary

Dogsthorpe Infant School is seeking an inspiring Assistant Headteacher (Inclusion & SEND) to join our Senior Leadership Team on a 0.6 FTE basis. You will lead SEND provision as SENCO, champion outcomes for vulnerable learners and drive inclusive teaching across the school.

Working with the Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher, you will shape strategic improvements, support colleagues, and build strong partnerships with families and external agencies while safeguarding our pupils.

Qualifications

• Significant experience supporting pupils with SEND and additional needs.
• Outstanding classroom practitioner with strong teaching and learning.
• Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Able to analyse data to drive improvement.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SENCO, leading SEND provision across the school.
• Champion outcomes for pupils in receipt of Pupil Premium funding.
• Provide strategic leadership and drive school improvement.
• Support staff development and inclusive teaching and learning.
• Develop partnerships with families, external agencies and wider stakeholders.
• Act as a Designated Safeguarding Lead and contribute to pupil wellbeing.
• Line manage and develop members of the support staff team.
