Job summary

St Paul’s Way Trust School is seeking an Assistant Headteacher – Inclusion to join the Senior Leadership Team. The role focuses on inclusion, SEND and pastoral care, ensuring needs of vulnerable learners are met without compromise.

The post is a fixed-term contract (maternity cover) with responsibilities for leading inclusion strategies, supporting staff, and working with families and external agencies to remove barriers to learning. Strong CPD and career development are offered.

Qualifications

• Qualified SENCO or willingness to undertake the National Award for SEN Coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop whole-school inclusion and SEND practice.
• Support and develop staff to deliver adaptive, inclusive classroom practice.
• Ensure high-quality provision for students with SEND and those needing pastoral support.
• Work with families, external agencies and pastoral leaders to remove barriers to learning.
• Embed systems and routines that enable students with additional needs to flourish alongside peers.
