Job summary

Tanners Brook Primary School seeks an experienced school leader to drive improvement and take on the Designated Safeguarding Lead responsibilities. The candidate will champion inclusion and work closely with families, external agencies and stakeholders to ensure every child thrives.

We are looking for someone who can inspire colleagues to achieve the highest standards while demonstrating warmth, resilience and integrity in leading our school community.

Qualifications

• Experience as a senior school leader with a proven track record of driving improvement.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection, with readiness to lead as Designated Safeguarding Lead.
• Passion for inclusion and removing barriers to enable every child to flourish.
• Ability to inspire, support and challenge colleagues to achieve high standards.
• Experience working with families, external agencies and wider stakeholders.
• Warmth, resilience, integrity and genuine commitment to children and their communities.

Responsibilities

• Lead school-wide safeguarding efforts and ensure safeguarding policies are up to date.
• Drive school improvement initiatives and monitor progress against targets.
• Collaborate with families, external agencies and partners to support pupils.
• Support and develop staff to sustain high standards of teaching and safeguarding.
