Job summary

Bromley Beacon Academy is seeking an exceptional and highly motivated Assistant Headteacher & Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) to join our Senior Leadership Team. The role focuses on safeguarding, inclusion and improving outcomes for vulnerable children and young people, with a reduced teaching commitment and broad leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience leading safeguarding and student welfare.
• Strong leadership and partnership working with families and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead safeguarding and child protection across the academy.
• Oversee attendance, behaviour, wellbeing and inclusion.
• Fulfil the role of Designated Teacher for Looked After and Previously Looked After Children.
• Provide high-quality safeguarding leadership with a reduced teaching commitment.
• Collaborate with families and external agencies to drive whole-school improvement.
