Job summary

TEC Partnership is seeking an Inclusion Practitioner to deliver daily 1:1 or small group support at The Grimsby Institute, enabling learners to build confidence, independence and resilience. The role requires knowledge of SEND and experience in education, with GCSE Maths & English at Level 2 being essential.

The post is permanent, with 14.5 hours per week across 38 weeks per year and carries a pro-rata salary. The organisation offers extensive staff benefits and a supportive team environment.

About the role

In this role you will deliver daily 1:1 or small group support tailored to meet the learners’ needs as set out in their Support Plans. You will be encouraging student confidence, self‑reliance, and independent learning rather than creating dependency.

Providing support for emotional regulation, social development, and positive behaviour management strategies, you will also attend to personal, physical, or medical care needs as specified, while promoting dignity and independence in our learners.

A big part of this role is working as part of a supportive team, where we strive to achieve the best for our learners.

About the person

We are looking for someone who has experience and knowledge of SEND, and how these learners need to be supported in order to overcome barriers to learning.

This role would suit those who have experience working within education or supporting young people with SEND. You will need to be able to think on your feet, have empathy, patience and be flexible.

Holding GCSE or equivalent level 2 Maths & English qualifications is essential.
