Job summary

Heart of Yorkshire Education Group is seeking an Inclusion Practitioner to support students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities across campus sites.

You will be patient, student-centered and flexible, with a track record of motivating learners and adapting support to individual needs. Travel between campuses is required; GCSEs in Maths and English are expected along with awareness of SEND reforms.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
  • GCSEs in Maths and English (A*-C / 9-4) or equivalent (Functional Skills Level 2).
  • Knowledge of SEND reforms (2014) desired.
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to all tasks undertaken.

Responsibilities

  • Provide student-centered inclusion support to learners with additional learning needs.
  • Assist with learning activities and study skills across campus sites.
  • Contribute to a positive learning environment and track student progress.

Education

Job description

If you want to make a difference and are looking for a fulfilling career and role, we are looking for an Inclusion Practitioner with drive and enthusiasm who have direct experience of working with and motivating students.

If you would like to work in an educational setting and you are caring, patient and student-centred, then supporting our students with learning difficulties and / or disabilities may be the post for you. You must have a flexible approach to working hours and a willingness to travel between our campus sites.

What we are looking for:
  • - Experience of working with students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities
  • - A minimum of GCSE A*- C / 9 - 4 in Maths and English, or equivalent for example -Functional Skills Level 2
  • - An awareness of the 2014 SEND reforms (Special Educational Needs and -Disabilities)
  • - Enthusiasm and commitment to all tasks undertaken
