Job summary

East Coast College is seeking an Inclusion and Disciplinary Officer to oversee student and apprentice cases at the Great Yarmouth & Lowestoft Campus. The role ensures fair, trauma-informed disciplinary processes that help learners reflect, repair relationships, and re-engage with their studies.

You will chair Stage 2 and 3 meetings, develop inclusive support plans, work with curriculum, safeguarding and external partners, and monitor trends to drive continuous improvement in inclusion practices.

Qualifications

• Requires minimum Level 2 in English and Maths (or equivalent)
• Experience in safeguarding and disciplinary processes is desirable
• Ability to chair meetings and coordinate across teams

Responsibilities

• Chair Stage 2 and 3 student disciplinary meetings with fairness and trauma-informed decision-making
• Develop inclusive support plans and restorative interventions
• Collaborate with curriculum teams, safeguarding, wellbeing and external agencies
• Monitor disciplinary trends and maintain accurate case records
• Deliver staff training on behaviour management and inclusion
• Commitment to safeguarding
