Job summary

East Coast College is recruiting a Success Coach for the Great Yarmouth & Lowestoft Campus. You will deliver 1-1 tutorials and support the Personal Development curriculum to help students access learning and make progress.

You will motivate, inspire and guide students, liaising with Course Leaders and other staff to provide targeted interventions, promote wellbeing, safeguarding and inclusive practice across the college.

Qualifications

  • Deliver 1-1 tutorials and embed Personal Development curriculum.
  • Support students in the curriculum areas who may struggle to access learning.
  • Liaise with Course Leaders, Heads of Departments and other teams to provide interventions.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality tutorials and assessments, embedding English and maths, manage online learning content.
  • Monitor and review student progress through action planning, tutorials, inductions and targeted interventions.
  • Organise courses by managing enrolment, assessments, attendance and learner records.
  • Promote safeguarding, equality, wellbeing and positive student behaviour while engaging apprentices and learners.

Job Title: Success Coach

Hours: 37 Hours - 1.0 FTE
Contract: Permanent - Full Time - TTO
Salary: Band G (£26,114.55 - £27,713.40 FTE)

To deliver 1-1 tutorials and facilitate the Personal Development curriculum. Support students within the curriculum areas who may struggle whilst at college to ensure they are able to access learning and make progress. You will motivate, inspire, support and encourage students to achieve the best they can, contributing to a culture of high expectations. Liaise with Course Leaders, Head of Departments and other support departments including finance, careers, safeguarding, wellbeing and additional learning support, using interventions for any students who need support.

Key needs from you and the role;

  • Plan and deliver high-quality teaching, tutorials, and assessments, embedding English and maths, managing online learning content, and supporting student achievement and progression.
  • Monitor and review student progress through action planning, tutorials, inductions, careers guidance, and targeted interventions for learners identified as at risk or requiring additional support.
  • Organise and develop courses by managing enrolment, assessments, quality assurance, attendance, learner records, curriculum improvement, employer engagement, and stakeholder communication.
  • Promote safeguarding, equality, wellbeing, and positive student behaviour while building strong partnerships, supporting apprentices and learners, and contributing to college-wide activities and continuous improvement.
