Job summary

The Bedford College Group is seeking an Inclusion & Development Coordinator in Bedford to support learners across the Health, Social Care & Childcare department. You will coordinate learner support, interventions and referrals to ensure wellbeing and progression.

The role requires Level 3+ and GCSE English/Maths with safeguarding knowledge, strong communication skills, and willingness to travel across campuses.

Qualifications

  • Educated to Level 3 or above with GCSE English and Maths, and experience in student support, advice and guidance, coaching, mentoring, or learner development roles.
  • Strong safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion knowledge with ability to support vulnerable learners and promote wellbeing.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships with students, staff and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate learner support, identifying barriers to attendance, engagement and progression, and implementing interventions to improve wellbeing and academic success.
  • Collaborate with curriculum teams, central services, parents/carers and external partners to provide inclusive support and coordinate referrals.
  • Promote learner wellbeing, support safeguarding concerns and student development, and manage confidentiality.
  • Maintain accurate intervention records, track learner progress and support activities, produce reports on trends and outcomes, and communicate with relevant teams.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, promote equality and diversity and support college-wide events.
