Job summary

Capital City College seeks a proactive Inclusion Coach Team Leader to guide the Inclusion Coach service across multiple campuses in London. You will lead, coach and manage a team of Inclusion Coaches, ensuring high standards of learner engagement, wellbeing and achievement.

You will partner with curriculum, safeguarding and learner services to deliver targeted interventions, monitor impact and foster an inclusive environment where every student can thrive and progress.

Are you ready to make an impact at one of London's leading Further Education providers? Capital City College is looking for a skilled Inclusion Coach Team Leader to support and drive key operational functions, helping shape the future of education in the heart of London.

About the Role

This role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis.

To lead and coordinate the Inclusion Coach service across the College, ensuring a consistent, high-quality approach to learner engagement, inclusion, wellbeing, attendance, retention and achievement.

The Inclusion Coach Team Leader will provide day-to-day leadership, performance management and professional support to a team of Inclusion Coaches working across multiple campuses.

The postholder will oversee targeted interventions for learners who face barriers to participation, achievement or progression, ensuring timely and effective support is provided and impact is monitored.

Working closely with curriculum teams, safeguarding, learner services and external partners, the postholder will help create an inclusive learning environment where all learners can thrive and achieve their full potential.

  • Experience of leading, managing or supervising staff within an education, youth support, pastoral or student services environment.
  • A proven ability to improve attendance, punctuality, engagement, retention and student outcomes.
  • Strong data and analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends, set priorities and turn insight into effective action.
  • The ability to lead and implement improvement strategies that deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work confidently with students, families, colleagues and external partners.
  • A supportive leadership style, with the ability to coach, motivate, develop and challenge staff to achieve high standards.
  • Experience of managing performance, setting expectations and supporting professional development.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple campuses.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with curriculum, safeguarding, pastoral and student support teams.
  • A strong understanding of the barriers that can affect student attendance, engagement and achievement.
  • The confidence to make informed decisions, take ownership and drive positive change.
  • A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, equality and student wellbeing.
  • The ability to build a culture of high expectations, accountability and continuous improvement.
