Job summary

Best Start Inclusion Practitioner at Bury Council will champion inclusive practice and support early identification of SEND for children aged 0-25 through Bury’s Best Start Family Hubs. The role involves working with early years settings, families and multi-agency partners to identify needs early and ensure children receive the right support at the right time.

Normal hours are 37 per week, with rota requirements depending on service needs.

Responsibilities

• Champion inclusive practice and early identification of SEND for children aged 0-25 through Bury’s Best Start Family Hubs.
• Support families, encourage inclusive practice, and strengthen home learning to improve outcomes for children, especially those with additional needs.
• Work with early years settings, families and multi-agency partners to identify needs early and ensure timely access to support.
