Job summary

Bury Council seeks a Best Start Inclusion Practitioner to champion inclusive practice and help identify SEND early for children aged 0-25 via the Best Start Family Hubs. The role focuses on supporting families, improving home learning, and strengthening inclusion across early years settings.

You will work with families, early years settings, and multi-agency partners to spot needs early, remove barriers to learning, and ensure the right support at the right time.

Responsibilities

• Champion inclusive practice and early identification of SEND for children 0-25 via Bury’s Best Start Family Hubs.
• Improve outcomes for children 0-5, especially with SEND, by supporting families and strengthening home learning.
• Collaborate with early years settings, families and multi-agency partners to identify needs early and remove barriers to learning.
