Job summary

The Ruth Gorse Academy in Leeds is seeking a dedicated Inclusion & Safeguarding Officer to join our Inclusion Team. This role focuses on ensuring students are safe, supported and able to achieve their full potential.

Under the direction of the Inclusion and Safeguarding Leader, you will support safeguarding systems, provide intervention and pastoral support, and work closely with families and external agencies to secure positive outcomes for young people.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 qualification or be working towards one.
• A full clean UK driving licence.
• Knowledge of EHCP and SEMH processes.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A genuine passion for supporting young people to overcome barriers and succeed.

Responsibilities

• Support safeguarding and inclusion systems on a day-to-day basis.
• Provide intervention, mentoring and pastoral support to students.
• Manage safeguarding concerns and liaise with families, staff and external agencies to secure positive outcomes for young people.
• Contribute to a culture of high expectations, inclusion and care within the Academy.

The Ruth Gorse Academyis seeking to appoint a dedicated and highly motivated Inclusion &Safeguarding Officer to join our committed Inclusion Team. This is a key rolewithin the Academy, focused on ensuring that all students are safe, supportedand able to achieve their full potential.

Working under thedirection of the Inclusion and Safeguarding Leader, the successful candidatewill support the day-to-day operation of safeguarding and inclusion systems,providing effective intervention, mentoring and pastoral support to students.They will play a vital role in promoting student welfare, managing safeguardingconcerns, supporting students with additional needs, and working closely withfamilies, staff and external agencies to secure positive outcomes for youngpeople.
