Job summary

Redhill Academy Trust in Bolsover is seeking a dedicated Safeguarding Officer to help ensure the welfare and safety of every student across our academy. The role supports a proactive safeguarding approach within a busy school environment.

You will work as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, coordinating with staff and external agencies, while handling sensitive information with discretion to promote a safe learning space for all pupils.

Qualifications

• Experience in safeguarding and welfare of children.
• Strong communication and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to work with students, families, staff and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Be the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and support safeguarding service on a day-to-day basis.
• Provide advice and expertise to promote safeguarding to students and staff in the academy.
• Collaborate with external agencies to safeguard pupils.

As a Safeguarding Officer you’ll: Be the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, working as part of the safeguarding team, supporting the effective operation of the safeguarding service on a day to-day basis. They will act as a source of support, advice and expertise to promote safeguarding to students and staff in the academy.
