Job summary

The Ruth Gorse Academy is seeking a dedicated Inclusion & Safeguarding Officer to join our Inclusion Team. You will support safeguarding systems, provide intervention and pastoral support, and work with families, staff and external agencies to ensure every student is safe, supported and reaches their full potential.

Hours are 37 per week, term time plus one week. A Level 3 qualification or willingness to work toward it, a clean UK driving licence and knowledge of EHCP/SEMH are required.

Qualifications

• Relevant Level 3 qualification or willingness to work towards one.
• Full clean UK driving licence.
• Knowledge of EHCP and SEMH processes.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Genuine passion for supporting young people to overcome barriers and succeed.

Responsibilities

• Support safeguarding and inclusion systems and day-to-day operations.
• Provide intervention, mentoring and pastoral support to students.
• Work with families, staff and external agencies to secure positive outcomes for students.
• Promote student welfare and contribute to a culture of high expectations, inclusion and care.
