Job summary

SNG Barratt Group is seeking a Logistics Planner to own inbound execution, ensuring seamless flow of shipments, data, and documentation from supplier to site. You will coordinate with the Logistics Manager, freight partners and internal teams, manage discrepancies, prioritise deliveries, and drive accuracy in ERP and Excel-based tracking to support cost visibility and operational performance.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years’ experience in logistics, inbound operations, or supply chain.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of transactional activity.
• Experience working with freight forwarders, carriers, and logistics documentation.
• Comfortable handling discrepancies across invoices, shipments, and system data.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communicator with ability to work cross-functionally.
• Experience with ERP systems and Excel preferred.
• Experience in multi-SKU environments advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all inbound shipments into site with clear visibility of status, priorities, and risks.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and the Logistics Manager to maintain flow of goods.
• Monitor inbound schedules and ensure readiness for receipt at site.
• Act as the first point of contact for inbound issues, inc: quantity/price discrepancies, incorrect/missing part numbers.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies between shipment, invoice, and system data.
• Work closely with Logistics Manager to expedite and resolve complex issues.
