Job summary

Argenbright Security Europe Limited seeks a Retail Security Officer to deter crime, respond to incidents, and file detailed reports in a busy store in St Helens. You will patrol the shop floor, assess risks, and liaise with management and authorities as needed.

This 42-hour weekly role includes shift patterns across Mon-Sun and requires an SIA licence. The position emphasizes customer service, conflict handling, and compliant searches of colleagues and contractors, with full training provided

Qualifications

• Must have a valid SIA licence to apply.
• Retail Security experience is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
• Applicants must provide a full 5-year checkable work/history or back to school history.
• Bring right to work documents and a recent proof of address to interview.
• Current SIA Guarding/Door Supervisor licence to apply.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling the shop floor and deterring criminal activity.
• Assess and identify vulnerabilities, and work to minimise risk.
• Liaising with management and local authorities when applicable.
• Manage vulnerable persons with empathy to avoid distress.
• Complete colleague and contractor searches as required.
• Digitally report incidents and use tablets/phones for daily activity planning.
• Detailed, legible incident reporting to assist the Client and Local Authorities.
