Job summary

Morrisons Market Street is seeking a friendly Bakery Assistant to join our fresh in-store bakery team. You will prepare breads, rolls, doughnuts and other bakery products to our standards, and help keep displays inviting. This role focuses on customer service, product quality and safe operation of bakery equipment.

You’ll support other counters when needed and contribute to a welcoming store atmosphere. Experience in a bakery or fast-paced food environment is helpful; we’ll offer development

Qualifications

• Experience using bakery equipment safely (ovens, provers, mixers).
• Active, hands-on role in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent customer service and willingness to help customers.
• Willingness to support multiple counters across store when needed.

Responsibilities

• Put customers first: deliver friendly, helpful service highlighting fresh bakery products.
• Prepare quality baked goods: bake and prepare a wide range of breads, rolls, doughnuts, and fruity items to spec.
• Maintain vibrant displays: keep bakery displays fresh and fully stocked throughout trading hours.
• Operate bakery equipment safely and uphold health and safety standards; support other counters when needed.
