Job summary

Danecourt School is seeking a Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our Integrated Therapy Team on a maternity cover contract. You will manage a specialist caseload of pupils with SEND, assess needs and develop practical, evidence-informed interventions that support participation, learning and independence.

You’ll work closely with teachers, families and external professionals, embedding therapeutic strategies into everyday school activities and co-teaching in classrooms to maximise pupil

Qualifications

• Qualified Occupational Therapist registered with the HCPC.
• Experience working with children with SEND.
• Strong understanding of sensory processing difficulties and related strategies.
• Proficient in formal and informal assessments.
• Able to work autonomously within an integrated multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assess pupils' OT needs and provide personalised interventions.
• Co-teach and support in classrooms and groups.
• Support pupils with sensory processing, motor development and independence.
• Use formal and informal assessments to monitor progress.
