The Opportunity

We’re working with a leading construction and engineering company in their search for an experienced Senior Construction Paralegal to join their dynamic in-house legal team in the City of London. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded paralegal with strong construction experience to work closely with stakeholders across high-value infrastructure and development projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a range of construction contracts including JCT and NEC suite agreements.
• Supporting the legal team and wider business on commercial contracts, subcontracts, consultant appointments, and supply chain agreements.
• Liaising with external legal counsel on complex matters and managing contract lifecycle processes.
• Advising internal stakeholders on contractual risks, variations, and dispute avoidance.
• Maintaining legal documentation and assisting with internal governance and compliance procedures.
• Providing training and support to junior legal and commercial staff when needed.

About You

• Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a Paralegal in a construction or commercial contracts environment (private practice or in-house).
• knowledge of construction contract forms such as JCT, NEC, and FIDIC.
• Able to interpret and negotiate complex contractual terms with confidence.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
• Willingness to travel occasionally across the UK (project sites or partner offices).
• Be part of a respected, collaborative legal team within a forward-thinking company.
