Job summary

Platinum Resourcing seeks a Management Accountant in Beaconsfield to support the Financial Controller with monthly management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and reporting. This in-house role suits an ACCA or CIMA-qualified professional moving from practice or audit into a commercial finance environment.

You will bring strong technical accounting knowledge, advanced Excel capabilities and a proactive, analytical mindset to a small finance team.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical capabilities with ability to interpret financial data clearly.
• Proven competence in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis in a corporate setting.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within a small finance team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts within reporting deadlines.
• Review and reconcile nominal ledger and control accounts.
• Complete accruals, prepayments and other month-end adjustments.
• Prepare detailed P&L, balance sheet and cash-flow reports.
• Investigate discrepancies and perform variance analysis.
• Assist with statutory accounts and liaison with auditors and tax advisers.
• Develop short-term cash-flow forecasts and reconcile performance.
• Assist with budgets, forecasting and business planning.
