Job summary

Bucks and Berks Recruitment seeks an experienced Management Accountant to join their Beaconsfield-based team. You will support the Financial Controller, deliver monthly management accounts, and ensure robust financial controls across the group.

The role is office-based, Monday to Friday with an early finish on Fridays, and offers excellent benefits. You will engage with auditors and contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial reporting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a professional accounting or auditing role
• Well organized and flexible, able to adapt and take on additional tasks
• Experience overseeing a company’s financial control and reporting activities
• Knowledge of change best practices and accounting software packages
• Strong analytical skills with expertise in GL, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting analysis
• Review and reconcile general ledger and control accounts
• Perform accruals, prepayments, and cost-of-sales adjustments
• Monitor WIP, loan accounts, and cost-to-complete provisions
• Produce variance analysis on margins and overheads
• Prepare management reports including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow
• Support statutory accounts and corporation tax calculations
• Liaise with auditors and external advisers
• Prepare and maintain short-term cashflow forecasts
• Assist with funding proposals and bank drawdowns
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Review group accounts and cashbooks
• Contribute to process improvements and ad hoc finance projects
