Job description

An established law firm working across the country is seeking a solicitor/barrister (remote working) to act as In-House Counsel as part of their team. The role offers remote or hybrid working options, providing flexibility while working with a highly experienced legal team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Review Housing Disrepair case files and provide support to fee earners.
2. Draft Particulars of Claim and ensure timely return to fee earners.
3. Draft replies to Defences and Counterclaims when required.
4. Collaborate closely with the firm’s Senior In-House Counsel, assisting with various tasks to ensure all actions are completed efficiently.
5. Maintain compliance with Civil Procedure and ensure all legal documents are prepared to a high standard.

Ideal Candidate:

1. Possesses a strong academic background and excellent technical skills, particularly in drafting and civil procedure.
2. Experience in drafting Particulars of Claim.
3. Has a high attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines efficiently.
4. Works well both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
5. Demonstrates excellent communication skills and the ability to provide support across multiple cases.
