Job Opportunity: ACA Qualified Accountant

Are you an ACA Qualified Accountant currently working in practice and seeking your first industry role? This position is suitable for those recently qualified or with up to 2 years PQE, looking to transition in-house while remaining within a professional practice environment.

Join a large (Top 20), forward-thinking, modern, and entrepreneurial accountancy firm as part of their internal Finance Team. Based within the busy finance department and reporting to the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in developing balance sheet reporting, ensuring monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts, and delivering management accounts reports.

1. Responsibilities include:
2. Preparation of monthly Group balance sheet reports
3. Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
4. Analysis of management accounts
5. Assisting in the preparation of Group Financial Accounts
6. Supporting the consolidation of Group Accounts
7. Keeping up-to-date with relevant financial reporting standards
8. Reviewing Partner drawings prior to sign-off
9. Preparing quarterly summaries of various accounts
10. Performing ad hoc duties as required

You will liaise with various departments within the firm and develop transferable skills that will benefit your future career.

Candidate Requirements:

• Fully qualified ACA, either recently qualified or with up to 2 years PQE
• Experience in practice (including some audit) and/or industry, with familiarity in management and statutory accounts
• Strong data processing skills, high standards, and ability to meet deadlines
• Good sense of humor and team-oriented attitude
• Proficiency with software packages, especially Caseware, and strong Excel skills
