Salary: GBP50000 - GBP60000 per annum + bonus

Group Accountant - GBP50,000 - GBP60,000 - Brentwood, Essex (Hybrid: 2 days/wk from home)

This privately-owned real estate company based in Brentwood, Essex, is seeking to recruit a recently qualified accountant seeking a first move into industry.

The Role:

Reporting to the Group FC, you’ll be responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting to support decision-making across the business. Working closely with operational and central teams, you’ll play a vital role in strengthening financial control and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Main responsibilities:

• Preparation of group consolidated financial statements and annual statutory accounts
• Leading the year-end audit process and liaising with external auditors
• Monthly management accounts preparation for central functions
• Supporting corporation tax submissions alongside external advisors
• Preparation of VAT returns and ONS/statutory reporting
• Partnering with central departments to support financial planning, reporting, and forecasting
• Driving process improvement and strengthening internal reporting

Your background:

• ACA/ACCA qualified accountant
• Strong experience in preparing statutory accounts and managing external audits
• Comfortable working across multi-entity or group structures
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence in using reporting tools
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both finance and non-finance stakeholders
• An interest in working in a values-led, purpose-driven environment with commercial ambition
