Qualifications

• 3+ années d'expérience en comptabilité, que ce soit en pratique ou en entreprise.
• Une compréhension solide des principes fiscaux et comptables au Royaume-Uni.
• Une certification Xero est idéale.

Accountant – Practice or Industry Background Considered
Location Alcester| Salary Up to £42,000 DOE (pro rata for part-time) | Hours Full-time or Part-time

Are you an experienced accountant looking to make a real difference in a close-knit, supportive team? Whether you come from a traditional practice or have experience working in industry, this role could be the fresh start you’re after.

Our client is a well-established accountancy practice based in Alcester. As a Xero Gold Partner, they pride themselves on providing personalised, proactive support to a wide range of clients from small businesses and sole traders to growing limited companies. They blend good old-fashioned service with modern tech to make life easier for their clients.

Accountant Duties what You’ll Be Doing:

• Preparing and reviewing accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
• Handling VAT returns, corporation tax computations, and HMRC submissions
• Managing payroll and associated reporting
• Offering practical, strategic advice to clients
• Using Xero to keep accurate financial records
• Liaising with HMRC and Companies House
• Keeping up to date with tax legislation and compliance

What we’re looking for in our Accountant role:

• ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified (or qualified by experience)
• 3+ years’ accounting experience (either in practice or industry)
• Xero experience or certification is ideal
• Strong understanding of UK tax and accounting principles
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Someone proactive, curious, and always ready to help
