Walsingham Support is seeking a dedicated Support Worker in the United Kingdom. The role involves 12-hour day and waking night shifts to provide person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities. A full UK manual driving licence is essential.

No prior care experience is required as full training is provided; successful applicants will join a charity that puts people before profit and re-invests in staff development. The rate is £13.45 per hour.

Qualifications

• We are looking for compassionate, patient and dedicated Support Workers who are committed to supporting the individual to have an amazing quality of life.
• Previous experience of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is desirable, as this is an important part of the individuals support.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to understand and respond to the individuals needs.
• A willingness to provide personal care is essential. Previous experience is not required, as full training can be provided, but you must be willing to learn and support the individual with dignity and respect.
• A genuine desire to support the individual to live a fulfilling and meaningful life, promoting choice, independence and wellbeing.
• The ability to work positively as part of a supportive and dedicated team.
• A FULL UK MANUAL DRIVING LICENCE IS ESSENTIAL FOR THIS ROLE.
