Job summary

The Richmond Fellowship Scotland Limited in Cumbernauld is hiring a Support Practitioner to assist individuals living at home with disabilities and additional support needs. No prior care experience required; we provide full training and a funded SVQ, with a focus on empathy, communication, and independence.

You will support daily living tasks, including personal care and household duties, with some moving and handling training provided.

Qualifications

• Empathetic and caring nature.
• Good observation and listening skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Confidence using computers.
• Able to work in a team and independently.
• Strong organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals at home with daily living tasks including personal care, meal prep, and finances.
• Support with medication and household chores.
• Provide moving and handling assistance after training.
• Encourage activity and social engagement with the people we support.
