Job summary

Seetec is recruiting a Careers Adviser to support participants at HMP Channings Wood, delivering CIAG and guiding learning and employment options. You will build rapport, encourage engagement and help individuals take first steps back into education or work.

The role requires a Level 4 CIAG qualification (or support to attain it) and involves arranging workshops, employer visits and career talks within a prisoner rehabilitation context.

Qualifications

• Level 4 qualification in Careers, Information, Advice & Guidance (CIAG) or willingness to undertake
• Experience delivering careers advice to adults is desirable
• Good working knowledge of the local labour market and available learning/employment options
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and modern digital tools
• Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to build positive relationships

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of participants and support achievement of personal and team targets
• Provide careers advice and information to help participants access work, learning and development opportunities
• Deliver employability workshops and coordinate career events and visitor sessions
• Record all information accurately in the tracking system
