Job summary

Seetec is recruiting a Careers Adviser to join our In‑Custody Information, Advice and Guidance team. If you’re passionate about helping people, we’d love to hear from you! Working in custody, you’ll provide careers advice and guidance to participants, helping them explore learning and employment options and coordinating job fairs or employer visits to support their transition back into the community.

Location: HMP Channings Wood. Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week. Contract: Permanent.

Qualifications

• Level4 CIAG qualification or willingness to undertake.
• Experience delivering careers advice to adults.
• Good knowledge of the local labour market.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of participants and support targets.
• Provide careers advice and information to help work, learning and personal development goals.
• Handle challenging situations professionally and confidentially.
• Record information timely in the tracking system.
• Deliver employability workshops and coordinate career events and speaker visits.
