Job summary

Freightserve Recruitment is assisting a well-established Freight Forwarder in Southampton, seeking an experienced Import Ocean specialist. You will manage end-to-end ocean import shipments, handle CDS customs entries, and communicate updates to customers.

Key duties include booking hauliers, invoicing, quotations, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and transport partners to ensure smooth operations and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Must have Import Seafreight experience.
• CDS customs entry experience is required.
• Experience processing shipments from start to finish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process ocean freight import shipments from start to finish.
• Create files and update customers throughout.
• Book hauliers and liaise with 3rd party transport providers.
• Invoice and bill customers.
• Prepare quotations.
• Keep up to date with market trends and service portfolio.
• Establish, manage and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Dealing with all Import Seafreight duties (start to finish)
• CDS Customs entries
• Booking hauliers & liaising with 3rd party transport providers
• Invoicing
• Billing
• Completing Quotations
• Keep up to date with Market trends and Company's full portfolio of services
• Establish, Manage and Maintain Internal and External Relationships.

Required experience:-
