We are working with a growing health and beauty company to recruit an Import Merchandiser to support the smooth running of the purchasing and supply chain process. Working closely with suppliers and internal teams, you will be responsible for managing orders from placement through to delivery, monitoring critical paths and coordinating international shipments to ensure products arrive on time and to the required standards.
- Manage purchase orders from placement through to delivery, ensuring all order and product information is accurate and up to date.
- Liaise with international suppliers on a daily basis, managing queries and providing updates on order progress.
- Maintain and update critical paths, monitoring key dates and following up on any potential delays.
- Coordinate shipments with suppliers and freight forwarders, tracking deliveries and ensuring goods arrive within the required timeframes.
- Assist with shipping documentation and ensure all relevant information is in place ahead of shipment.
- Monitor order quantities, delivery dates and shipment information, highlighting any discrepancies or delays.
- Maintain accurate supplier records and documentation, ensuring information is kept up to date.
- Support supplier onboarding and maintain relevant supplier information and compliance records.
- Work closely with internal teams to provide regular updates on orders, shipments, and delivery dates.
- Assist with stock and inventory reporting, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
- Support new product launches by ensuring all relevant purchasing and supply chain information is in place.
- Maintain product compliance documentation and liaise with suppliers where further information or action is required.
- Assist with resolving any issues that arise throughout the production, shipping and delivery process.
About You
- Previous experience within merchandising, import merchandising, buying administration, production, or supply chain.
- Confident liaising with suppliers and managing multiple orders and deadlines.
- Able to monitor critical paths and proactively follow up on outstanding actions.
- Confident using Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Previous experience working with overseas suppliers would be advantageous.
