The Import Coordinator is responsible for liaising between customers, suppliers and transport companies to ensure efficient deliverie

About the role
General Duties as an Import Coordinator
  • Managing ocean freight shipments from A to Z
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring clients satisfaction through effective communication and problems solving
  • Submit and manage customs declaration using CDS, ensuring full compliance with HMRC requirements
  • Arranging containers delivery according to the capacity of the warehouse
  • Ensure efficient routes and scheduling of shipments to optimise transportation costs and delivery times
  • Liaising with shipping lines to obtain cargo release
  • Arranging payment of freight and other charges, or collection of payment on behalf of the client
  • Review, verify and resolve invoice discrepancies from truckers and shipping lines to ensure accurate billing and cost control
  • Monitor shipments process and proactively update clients.
  • Handle quotations, job costings & invoicing
  • Any other associated tasks
About you
The Requirements
  • Experience in a similar role is essential for this role
  • Experience with CDS (Customs Declaration Service) is advantageous
  • Confident communicator with a professional telephone manner
  • Able to communicate in Korean is advantageous
  • Able to prioritise & self manage workload
  • Can-Do attitude. Always doing the right thing, not the easy thing
  • Team Player. Willing to assist other departments where required.
