Job summary

Streamline Search is recruiting an Import Coordinator on behalf of our client, a long-established freight and logistics company based near Tilbury. The role focuses on coordinating LCL imports across air and sea freight, using Multifreight, CNS and Destin8 for visibility and compliance.

The successful candidate will join a busy team in a shipping-centric environment. The Import Coordinator will manage documentation, releases, and carrier communications while ensuring strict adherence to customs

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in LCL import operations.
• Hands-on experience with Multifreight, CNS, and Destin8.
• Strong understanding of air and deep-sea freight processes and customs regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the import process for LCL shipments, ensuring timely and accurate coordination of air and deep-sea freight from origin to destination.
• Utilise Multifreight, CNS, and Destin8 systems to manage and track shipments, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
• Monitor and track air cargo shipments, providing regular updates to clients and internal teams on shipment status.
• Obtain necessary releases from airlines, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company requirements.
• Communicate effectively with airline sheds to arrange cargo releases and collections, addressing any issues or delays promptly.
• Organise and manage the collection of cargo from airlines within the limited free time allowed, coordinating with transport providers to ensure timely pickups.
• Prepare and process all relevant import documentation, including customs declarations, shipping documents, and delivery orders.
• Resolve any issues related to import shipments, including delays, documentation discrepancies, or customs queries.
• Ensure all import activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

They are based in Tilbury at the heart of the shipping industry in the Southeast. They handle importations and exportations of all/any cargos by multimodal means- Air, Sea, Road & Rail. They are looking for a LCL Import Operator with experience of all modes of transport to enhance their busy team.
