Sanctuary Personnel is recruiting a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker to join a dedicated team in Luton on an initial two-month locum assignment, with potential for extension. The role involves caseload management, one-to-one keyworking support and collaboration with partner services to achieve sustainable recovery outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in substance misuse, drugs and alcohol services.
• Proven experience managing a caseload of service users.
• Experience providing one-to-one support and keyworking.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify service users’ needs, strengths and goals.
• Develop personalised recovery plans in partnership with service users.
• Provide one-to-one support and effective keyworking to individuals with drug/alcohol issues.
• Manage an allocated caseload, monitor progress and adapt support as needed.
• Promote harm reduction and educate on safer choices and recovery.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and partner agencies to provide holistic support.
• Maintain accurate, timely and confidential records of assessments and progress.
• Support a person-centred, recovery-focused approach throughout work.
