Job summary

Cheshire East Council is recruiting a dedicated Social Worker to join the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). You will assess risks, manage safeguarding investigations, and develop coordinated protection plans for vulnerable children and families.

You will maintain accurate records, provide expert guidance to colleagues, and engage with families to build trust and achieve positive outcomes. The role offers flexible working and access to supervision to support professional growth.

Qualifications

• A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
• Registration with Social Work England.
• Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments and safeguarding investigations.
• Collaborate with partner agencies to share information and develop comprehensive support plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of casework activities.
