Job summary

Herefordshire's MASH team is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our improvement journey and help keep children safe. This role is office-based in Herefordshire, collaborating with Health, Education and Police to screen referrals and make recommendations within tight timescales.

You will have DipSW/CQSW/CSS or equivalent and at least 2 years in statutory social care, with strong assessment, reporting and caseload-management skills to improve outcomes for children and families.

Qualifications

• DipSW/CQSW/CSS or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years experience in statutory social care.
• Skills in assessment, report writing and managing a complex caseload.

Responsibilities

• Screen referrals and make recommendations within tight timescales.
• Screen police notifications of domestic abuse incidents and discuss at the domestic abuse hub with partner agencies.
• Work in collaboration with Health, Education and Police to protect and support children and families.
