Job summary

Permissum Care Ltd in East Ayrshire is recruiting Sessional Residential Child Care Workers to support neurodiverse children and young people in a residential setting.

You will build trusting relationships, provide safe, nurturing care, assist with daily routines and education, and help empower young people to make choices and participate in activities. A driving licence is required and SSSC registration is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with additional needs or complex behaviours.
• Experience in residential childcare or related social care settings.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and school holidays.
• Commitment to SSSC registration and willingness to register.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with children and young people.
• Provide safe, nurturing residential care and support daily routines.
• Support education, activities and promote independence.
• Contribute to care planning, reviews and safeguarding responsibilities.
• Maintain accurate records and written reports.
• Work with families and partner agencies to support young people.
