Job summary

The Abbey School in Farnham is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support learners with SEND under the guidance of teaching staff. This permanent, term-time role covers 30.25 hours per week, with shifts across five days.

You will work with pupils with autism, communication needs, and other complex needs, helping them access the curriculum, providing first aid when needed, and contributing to a safe, supportive learning environment.

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND and complex needs.
• Ability to work under supervision and demonstrate patience.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of pupils.

Responsibilities

• Work under direction of teaching staff to support quality learning.
• Support pupils with autism, social and emotional needs, and communication difficulties.
• Undertake sessions with individuals, groups, and whole classes as directed.
• Encourage pupils to participate and develop independent learning.
• Assist with personal care and administration of medicines as required.
