Essex County Council is seeking a SEND Operations Coordinator on a fixed-term contract for up to 12 months. The role manages the Education Health and Care (EHC) assessment process for children with SEND and coordinates school placement requests for families moving into Essex.

You will be a single point of contact for families and professionals, ensuring statutory timelines are met, drafting EHCPs, and supporting Annual Reviews while maintaining accurate documentation and data for statutory

Qualifikationen

• Educated to RQF level 3 (A level) as a minimum, or equivalent by experience.
• Evidence of continuing professional development and expert knowledge in relevant professional area.
• Knowledge or experience of working with young people with SEND and families, including hard-to-reach groups.
• Thorough knowledge of SEND Code of Practice 2015 and the Children and Families Act 2014.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with varied audiences.
• Effective time management and prioritisation.
• Ability to chair meetings and liaise with Education, Health and Social Care.

Aufgaben

• Coordinate EHC assessments and EHCP review processes in line with relevant legislation.
• Act as LA representative at dispute resolution meetings regarding EHC assessments.
• Maintain EHCPs to ensure compliance with statutory processes.
• Serve as a single point of contact for families during the assessment process.
• Draft and amend EHCPs based on reports and statutory advice.
