Job summary

Supply Desk is seeking a caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in the Edgware area, supporting pupils with profound learning difficulties starting this September. This full-time role involves tailored one-to-one and small-group support to help pupils access learning and develop communication and independence.

The successful candidate will be patient, resilient, and adaptable, with a passion for helping young people with complex needs.

Qualifications

Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.
Experience supporting pupils with profound learning difficulties or complex needs is advantageous.
Passion for the development of learning.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patient, caring, and resilient approach.

Responsibilities

Provide tailored one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with profound learning difficulties.
Support pupils with their learning, communication, social development, and independence.
Work closely with teachers and other members of the school's specialist support team.
Support pupils with personal care and mobility needs where required.
Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
Cooperation with colleagues in order to deliver the best possible outcomes.
