Job summary

Academics in Gloucester is seeking a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant for an ASAP start. You will support children with special educational needs in 1:1 and small group settings to gain practical classroom experience for careers in education or psychology.

Responsibilities include implementing personalised learning plans, promoting inclusion, adapting learning materials, and working with teachers, SENCo, therapists and families to monitor progress. Pay ranges £90-£105 daily, hours 8:30am-3:30pm.

Qualifications

• Caring, patient and enthusiastic graduate with an interest in SEN.
• Degree in Psychology, Education or related field desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support children with SEN in 1:1 and small group settings.
• Assist with personalised learning plans designed by the class teacher and SENCo.
• Encourage inclusion, independence and engagement among pupils.
• Adapt learning materials to individual needs.
• Collaborate with teaching staff, therapists and families to support progress.

Education
