Job summary

Academics is seeking a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive mainstream primary school in Gloucester, working closely with a pupil who requires additional learning support. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about inclusive education and eager to help a child reach their full potential.

Salary will be determined by qualifications and experience, with a daily rate in the £89–£100 range. The role is temporary and based in Gloucester, Gloucestershire, starting ASAP.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
• Experience working with children with SEN (ASD, ADHD, speech & language) desirable.
• Two professional references.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 tailored support for a pupil with SEN to access the curriculum.
• Implement strategies outlined in the pupil's education plan.
• Support emotional, social, and academic development throughout the day.
• Collaborate with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
• Communicate with parents/carers and contribute to progress reviews.
