Job summary

SMART Education Recruitment is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant for a long-term contract in Sutton Coldfield, starting 1st September 2026. You will support pupils with SEMH needs and behavioral challenges, helping foster positive engagement and emotional development throughout the school day.

The role offers PAYE or Umbrella payment options, with a focus on building calm, resilient support for learners and collaborating with staff to sustain progress.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH or challenging behaviour.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Ability to provide references covering the previous 24 months.
