Job summary

Compass - Services to Improve Health and Wellbeing in the East Midlands seeks a passionate educator/mentor to support Children and Young People’s mental health and emotional wellbeing. You will hold a relevant qualification and have at least one year post-qualification experience working with children, young people and families, traveling to schools and community venues.

The role requires driving and access to a vehicle, commuting between venues, with commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality

Qualifications

• BTEC higher diploma, foundation degree, or equivalent experience.
• At least one year post-qualification experience with children, young people and families.
• Knowledge of safeguarding legislation, confidentiality, consent, mental capacity and data protection guidelines.
• Experience delivering mental health advice and engaging diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Travel to individual schools regularly to provide support.
• Deliver mental health guidance to children, young people and families.
• Engage diverse audiences with clear communication.
• Maintain safeguarding practices and up-to-date data protection compliance.
