Job summary

Agincare is seeking an Ofsted Registered Manager for a brand‑new not-for-profit Children's Services Residential Home in York. You will lead and develop the provision, acting as a corporate parent to children with learning disabilities and other complex needs.

You will oversee Support Workers and Senior Support Workers, ensure high-quality care, and maintain full regulatory compliance, shaping best practice from the outset for outstanding outcomes.

Qualifications

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years in childrens residential care, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, and relevant legislation in childrens services.
• Experience leading Ofsted home inspections and planning/maintaining high-standard care plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the new residential service for children and young people.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and support teams of care staff.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements, including Ofsted inspections.
• Act as a corporate parent to the children in care and promote a safe, inclusive environment.
