Job summary

North Ayrshire Council invites applications for a teaching assistant role based at St John's Primary School within our Education Directorate. You will support the delivery of teaching to children and young people, assisting pupils from Primary 1-7 as directed by the Head Teacher and Depute Head Teacher.

Interviews may be in person or via Microsoft Teams. This post is temporary until 31 March 2027; PVG checks are required for regulated work with children and may incur costs deducted from salary.

Qualifications

• PVG scheme required for working with children.
• Regulated work with children under the PVG scheme.
• Successful candidates will be asked to meet pre-employment checks.
