Job summary

Academics are partnering with a well-led, modern primary school in Havering, London, to recruit a Primary Teaching Assistant.

You will support the class teacher to help pupils achieve their academic targets, working 1:1 and in small groups with children from Reception to Year 6.

The role is full-time and long-term, running term-time 8.30am–3.30pm, starting October or November 2026, with a contract through at least July 2027.

Qualifications

• Graduate with strong academic record.
• Desire to work with children across Reception to Year 6.
• Experience or interest in SEND/SEMH needs.
• Confident, motivated and ready to contribute from day one.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher to help students meet academic targets.
• Work with students 1:1 and in small groups.
• Assist students with ASD, ADHD, and SEMH needs.
• Enable inclusive learning inside and outside lessons.
