Job summary

Academics are working with a well-led primary school in Havering, London to recruit a Primary Teaching Assistant starting in October or November 2026. The role is full-time and long-term, running through July 2027, based in Havering and supporting students from Reception to Year 6.

You will work with the class teacher to support learning both in and outside of lessons, including 1:1 and small-group sessions, and assist pupils with ASD, ADHD and SEMH.

Qualifications

• Graduate with strong academics across the board.
• Interest in working with children of all ages and abilities.
• Experience with SEND/SEMH needs preferred.
• Motivated and committed to long-term role.

Responsibilities

• Support students both in and outside lessons alongside the class teacher.
• Deliver 1:1 support and small group activities for Reception to Year 6.
• Assist pupils with ASD, ADHD and SEMH needs.
