Job summary

Academics are working with a well-led primary school in Havering, London, seeking a Primary Teaching Assistant. The role is full-time, long-term, in-school support from 8:30am to 3:30pm, term-time only, with an ASAP start in October or November 2026 and a contract through July 2027.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups across Reception to Year 6, supporting children to meet academic targets and assisting pupils with ASD, ADHD and SEMH needs. Training and CPD are offered.

Qualifications

• A graduate with strong academics across the board.
• Desire to work with children of all ages and abilities.
• Experience with SEND/SEMH needs.

Responsibilities

• Work with the class teacher to support students 1:1 and in small groups.
• Assist in and out of class to help learners meet targets.
• Adapt support for pupils with ASD, ADHD and SEMH as needed.
